Preview: Webinar to explore technologies and strategies for decarbonising industry

As the pressure intensifies on global industries to decarbonise, gasworld’s upcoming webinar will examine the technologies, strategies and roadblocks shaping the journey to net-zero.

The live session, titled ‘Decarbonisation: Powering industries for a sustainable future’’, will take place today (18 July) at 2:30pm BST and will bring together voices from across the carbon capture, clean energy and industrial gases sectors.

Sponsored by Nippon Gases, the webinar will focus on how companies can accelerate their transition through carbon capture and storage, cross-sector partnerships, and the use of low-carbon gases. It will also address the technical, economic and regulatory challenges facing hard-to-abate sectors.

Nippon Gases has placed decarbonisation at the centre of its industrial strategy. The company recently toldgasworld it aims to support customers in reducing their emissions through a circular economy model, enabling the recycling, reuse and recovery of gases and by-products. “We are an energy intensive industry, and renewable power-use is paramount within our efforts to help the industry be more sustainable,” the company said.

Panellists include Jose Ramon Calvo, Marketing Director Europe at Nippon Gases; Ana Maria Jaller-Makarewicz, Lead Energy Analyst, Europe at IEEFA; Ravi Varma, Founder & MD at Hypro; and Gill Scheltjens, CEO at D-CRBN.
